Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive phone assessments of patient symptoms to determine appropriate level of care.
- Evaluate patient history and current condition to recommend home care, over-the-counter remedies, or immediate medical attention.
- Accurately document all triage interactions and patient data into electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Escalate critical cases to providers and emergency services immediately as per protocol.
- Manage high call volumes while maintaining a calm, empathetic, and professional demeanor.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and providers to ensure continuity of care for patients.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of nursing experience, with specific triage or call center experience preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) is a plus.
