Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborative Care: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and utilize critical thinking skills to manage acute situations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, patient charts, and incident reports in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families about treatment plans, disease prevention, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement processes to enhance the standard of care.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Nevada (Nurse License Compact states accepted).
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting (New graduates with strong clinical rotations considered).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical equipment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift patients, and perform physical tasks as required by the job description.
