Job Overview
The Certified Nursing Assistant plays a critical role in our patient care team. You will provide direct care, monitor patient conditions, and ensure a safe environment for residents during the night shift.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations) and document changes accurately.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Assist with feeding and mobility as needed throughout the night.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized living environment for all patients.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff regarding patient status and emergencies.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (Texas State Board of Nursing).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during the night shift.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
