Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and evaluation
- Administer medications and therapeutic treatments per physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care delivery
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records
- Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition
- Provide patient/family education on health management and discharge planning
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in District of Columbia
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 3+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience (ER, ICU, or Med-Surg preferred)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EHR system
- Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
