Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical and psychological needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities immediately to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and post-care instructions.
- Respond to medical emergencies and assist in Code Blue situations as needed.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
