Responsibilities
- Provide direct, high-quality nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Monitor patient vital signs, pain levels, and response to treatments, alerting physicians and charge nurses to any changes in condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health records.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure seamless patient transitions and optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient environment in compliance with hospital safety protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff development activities.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oregon.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers certification required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Computer literacy and proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
