Responsibilities
- Assess patient health history and current condition to develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatments, alerting physicians of any changes in condition.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and self-care management.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
