Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Monitor patient health and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Assessment & Documentation: Perform comprehensive patient assessments and maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to critical situations and provide immediate intervention when necessary.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in unit rounds and quality assurance initiatives to enhance patient safety and care standards.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of California.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Computer Proficiency: Ability to navigate Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems efficiently.
