Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and progress continuously; report significant changes to the nursing supervisor or physician immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
