Responsibilities
- Assess & Plan: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer Care: Provide direct patient care by administering medications, treatments, and procedures according to established protocols.
- Monitor Status: Continuously monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, promptly reporting any significant changes to physicians or charge nurses.
- Education: Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Collaboration: Act as an advocate for patients by communicating effectively with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records, ensuring all documentation complies with legal and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required (ACLS preferred for ICU/Med-Surg units).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Character: Professional demeanor with a compassionate approach to patient care.
