Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols and state regulations.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to any changes in condition or medical emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the wider healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately and completely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and health maintenance.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for all patients.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin or Illinois (compact state preferred).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to lift and move patients as necessary, adhering to safety guidelines.
