Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care across diverse patient populations in our Level 1 Trauma Center
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders with precision
- Monitor patient vitals and document electronic health records with meticulous accuracy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on health management and discharge protocols
- Adhere to JCAHO and NY State Department of Health regulatory standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response protocols
Qualifications
- Valid New York State RN license (required)
- BSN degree from accredited program (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- BLS/CPR certification (ACLS preferred)
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in hospital setting
- Proficiency in Epic EMR system
- Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills
- Excellent communication abilities in high-stress situations
