Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in acute care settings including ICU, ER, and medical-surgical units
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while monitoring patient responses
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient assessments and care progress accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and preventive care
- Adhere to JCAHO standards and infection control protocols
- Maintain calm demeanor during critical situations while prioritizing patient safety
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the State of Kansas (or compact license)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in acute care setting
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred)
- Strong proficiency in EHR systems (Epic experience highly valued)
- Excellent communication skills with ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
