Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and symptoms, reporting any changes or abnormalities immediately.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and home care instructions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure holistic and continuous patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and medical documentation.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and crises within the unit.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a team-oriented environment.
