Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring safety and compliance.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, intervening immediately when critical changes occur.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document patient care activities, assessments, and interventions accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous professional development.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Texas.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, especially in acute care settings.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
