Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing patient assessments to formulate accurate nursing diagnoses and care plans.
- Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and established safety protocols.
- Vital Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, escalating concerns immediately to the appropriate medical staff.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease management, medication side effects, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient recovery.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state of Georgia.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills and proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, empathy, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
