Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and medical history to identify changes in health status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams to develop and adjust patient care plans.
- Document patient care activities, including interventions, responses, and progress in medical records.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding medical conditions and procedures.
- Respond immediately to medical emergencies and critical situations with calm and decisive action.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in compliance with hospital protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical-surgical setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to lift, move, and position patients as necessary (physical stamina required).
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
