Responsibilities
- Provide direct and comprehensive patient care, monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Assess patient needs, educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, and provide emotional support.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients and staff.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient safety and advocacy.
