Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patient health conditions by conducting thorough physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in strict accordance with medical protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and symptoms continuously, documenting any changes immediately.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Provide patient education regarding disease prevention, wellness, and medication management.
- Collaborate effectively with doctors, therapists, and other staff to ensure comprehensive care.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and apply critical thinking to resolve issues.
Qualifications
- Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed (physical stamina required).
