Responsibilities

  • Monitor patients' vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their hospital stay.
  • Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records.
  • Move and transfer patients safely using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and surgeries under the supervision of registered nurses.

Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required, valid in the state of Georgia.
  • CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
