Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with established medical protocols and orders.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes in condition to the healthcare team immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Document accurate and timely patient data in electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and post-care instructions.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia or a compact state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to lift, move, and support patients as required by the job duties.
