Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and the use of walkers or wheelchairs safely.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Document all care provided and patient interactions accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the State of Pennsylvania.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not always required for immediate hires.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients up to 50 lbs safely.
- Commitment to HIPAA privacy standards and patient confidentiality.
- Valid state ID and proof of eligibility to work in the USA.
