Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and triage to determine appropriate medical care.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians and according to hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, documenting all findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, medications, and preventative health strategies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment in compliance with safety regulations.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical incidents.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state of Georgia.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, but new graduates with a strong academic background will be considered.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and nursing interventions.
- Excellent critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as necessary.
