Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards
- Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and administer medications accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning
- Maintain precise medical documentation using EMR systems
- Respond swiftly to emergency situations with calm professionalism
- Mentor new staff and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Illinois (or compact license)
- BSN preferred; ADN candidates with 2+ years of acute care experience considered
- BLS/ACLS certification required; PALS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in acute care or emergency setting
- Strong assessment skills and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends
- EMR proficiency (Epic/Cerner experience preferred)
