Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing comprehensive physical exams and reviewing medical history.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and respond swiftly to any changes or medical emergencies.
- Provide patient education and health promotion activities to empower individuals and families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient flow and optimal outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in Washington, DC.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
