Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond immediately to any changes in condition or critical alerts.
- Document patient medical records accurately and in a timely manner to ensure continuity of care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Participate in unit rounds, shift handovers, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting (Critical Care or Med-Surg preferred).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as required by the weekend shift schedule.
- Commitment to adhering to HIPAA regulations and hospital infection control policies.
