Role Overview
As a Weekend RN, you will provide direct patient care, monitor patient health, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of clinical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, develop, and implement comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor vital signs and patient response to interventions, documenting all findings accurately and timely.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment, and post-discharge care.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and code blue activations.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Texas.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced unit.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as necessary.
