We are looking for compassionate, detail-oriented RNs to provide exceptional patient-centered care during critical weekend hours.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs and develop or modify individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor vital signs and report significant changes or deteriorating conditions to the Charge Nurse or provider promptly.
- Document patient care activities, interventions, and responses in the electronic health record accurately and timely.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Respond immediately to code blue alerts, emergencies, and critical situations within the unit.
- Assist with patient education and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Louisiana.
- BSN degree preferred; Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to the Ochsner Code of Conduct and professional standards.
