Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based patient care across diverse medical units during weekend rotations
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while monitoring patient responses
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
- Document clinical observations and interventions using advanced EHR systems
- Maintain strict adherence to Joint Commission safety protocols and regulatory standards
- Lead rapid response interventions during critical patient situations
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to weekend shift quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Nebraska RN license with current BLS/ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in telemetry or ICU settings
- BSN or actively enrolled in BSN completion program
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems and point-of-care documentation
- Demonstrated ability to make critical decisions in high-pressure scenarios
- Strong communication skills with experience in shift handovers
- Commitment to continuous education with 20+ CE hours annually
