Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care across diverse medical units including ICU, ER, and telemetry during weekend shifts
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform comprehensive patient assessments with precision
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EHR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Mentor new staff and participate in weekend-specific quality improvement initiatives
- Respond effectively to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention skills
- Ensure regulatory compliance and uphold hospital safety standards throughout shifts
Qualifications
- Active Nebraska RN license with unrestricted privileges
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred) with 2+ years acute care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications maintained per hospital policy
- Proven expertise in weekend shift scheduling and weekend-specific care protocols
- Advanced proficiency in Epic EHR and electronic documentation systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and emergency response capabilities
- Strong team collaboration skills with ability to mentor weekend staff
- Experience in telemetry, ICU, or emergency nursing preferred
