Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in accordance with hospital protocols and nursing standards.
- Administer medications and treatments prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosing and patient safety.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously, identifying changes in status and intervening promptly when necessary.
- Document patient medical histories, symptoms, and reactions to treatments in electronic health records (EHR) with precision.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursing unit environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred based on unit specialty.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a high-functioning team.
