Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing comprehensive physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on the nursing process and patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
- Monitor patients' conditions continuously and intervene immediately when necessary to prevent deterioration.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and self-care management.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and outcomes in accordance with hospital standards.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
- Commitment to the highest standards of patient care and safety protocols.
