Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs during weekend rounds.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
  • Document patient care accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Educate patients and families on discharge planning and health maintenance.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for all patients.
  • Respond immediately to emergency situations and code blue activations.

Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience preferred (New graduates with excellent clinical rotations may be considered).
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a high-volume healthcare team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing patient acuity levels.
