Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs during weekend rounds.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Educate patients and families on discharge planning and health maintenance.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for all patients.
- Respond immediately to emergency situations and code blue activations.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience preferred (New graduates with excellent clinical rotations may be considered).
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high-volume healthcare team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient acuity levels.
