Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical needs.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, adhering to all hospital protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical status, documenting changes immediately and reporting to the charge nurse.
- Educate patients and their families regarding post-discharge care, medication management, and health maintenance.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Participate in quality assurance activities and emergency response drills.
Qualifications
- Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience (preferred for weekend shifts).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in computer systems and electronic health records.
- Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
