Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders, strictly adhering to safety protocols and hospital policies.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatments, reporting significant changes immediately to the charge nurse.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and individualized care plans are executed effectively.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Assist with patient education and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care post-discharge.
- Uphold a clean and safe environment for patients and staff at all times.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred depending on unit assignment.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations as required.
