Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality direct patient care in assigned units during weekend shifts
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders
- Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to emergency situations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Document patient assessments and progress accurately in EHR systems
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and hospital safety protocols
- Precept new staff and provide clinical guidance as needed
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Louisiana (compact license preferred)
- BSN degree or equivalent experience (MSN preferred)
- 2+ years of acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Epic EHR systems
- Ability to work independently and manage high patient loads
