Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care assessments and develop individualized care plans for weekend shift patients
- Administer medications, treatments, and injections with precision and safety protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless continuity of care across shifts
- Document patient progress accurately in Epic EHR systems with real-time updates
- Mentor junior staff and participate in weekend shift-specific quality improvement initiatives
- Respond to emergency situations using ACLS/BLS protocols and rapid response protocols
- Coordinate discharge planning and patient education for weekend admissions
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing (Colorado compact license preferred)
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience with weekend shift exposure
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EHR and electronic documentation systems
- Strong critical thinking skills with ability to make autonomous decisions
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient and family interactions
- Flexibility to cover rotating weekend shifts and holiday assignments
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred (ADN candidates with experience considered)
