Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in accordance with hospital protocols and standards of care.
- Vital Monitoring: Accurately monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and medical history to ensure timely intervention.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments, verifying all orders and patient allergies prior to execution.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate electronic health records (EHR) regarding patient progress and care provided.
- Crisis Management: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist in stabilizing patient conditions as needed.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health management, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred; strong new graduate candidates will be considered.
- Skills: Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems; strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse patient populations.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and maneuver patients weighing up to 250 lbs; vision and hearing required.
