Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with hospital protocols and state regulations.
- Assess patient health status through history taking, physical exams, and symptom analysis.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor and document vital signs, lab results, and patient progress continuously throughout the shift.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health management, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed in accordance with safety guidelines.
