Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to identify changes in health status.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in strict accordance with physician orders and safety protocols.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans tailored to specific needs.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, medication management, and post-discharge care.
- Document patient care activities, clinical notes, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient advocacy and quality care.
