Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illness independently or as part of a healthcare team.
- Prescribe medication and treatments, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Provide health and wellness education to patients and families.
- Document patient care services in medical records and reports.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred, ADN accepted).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with critical attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- CPR certification required.
