Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care, monitoring vital signs and patient conditions throughout the shift.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing protocols.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses to care accurately and in a timely manner.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff by adhering to all safety and sanitation standards.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred (new grads welcome).
- CPR/BLS certification (ACLS required for critical care units).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
