Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and medical charts, reporting any changes in condition immediately to the charge nurse or provider.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, medication side effects, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Document all patient interactions, care provided, and responses to treatment accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to ensure a cohesive approach to patient recovery and safety.
Qualifications
- Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
