Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems, needs, and physical condition to formulate a nursing plan of care.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities immediately.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and safety.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during the night shift.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure the nursing unit is clean, safe, and well-stocked with supplies.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida (or eligible for Virginia licensure).
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a high-paced night shift environment.
