Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and symptoms to identify changes in condition and respond immediately to emergencies.
- Provide patient education and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and patient understanding.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic, patient-centered care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and care activities.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards (HIPAA, OSHA).
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including lifting and moving patients.
