Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with hospital standards and protocols.
- Monitor patient health and report vital sign changes and clinical abnormalities to the charge nurse or physician immediately.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely patient medical records and charts.
- Assist in emergency response and triage procedures during high-volume shifts.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including infection control and HIPAA compliance.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Florida Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (New graduates with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) are encouraged to apply).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment while maintaining composure.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient safety and satisfaction.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and lifting patients as necessary.
