Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians in accordance with nursing standards and protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes or abnormalities to the healthcare team immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient treatment.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Ensure a safe and clean patient environment by adhering to safety protocols and infection control measures.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- CPR/BLS certification and ACLS certification as required by department policy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Compassionate patient-centered approach with a focus on quality outcomes.
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods as required by the role.
- Computer literacy and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
