Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans under the supervision of senior nursing staff.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond immediately to any changes in condition.
- Document patient care activities, including assessments, treatments, and responses to therapy.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment, and recovery processes.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursing unit environment.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital setting.
- Compassionate patient care philosophy with a focus on quality outcomes.
- Completion of an accredited nursing program (ASN, BSN, or MSN).
