Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, verify, and dispense prescriptions in compliance with legal and company protocols.
- Process insurance claims and handle patient inquiries regarding medication coverage and insurance billing.
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory, including checking expiration dates and restocking supplies.
- Prepare sterile compounding products and ensure strict adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with pharmacists to resolve complex medication therapy issues and ensure patient safety.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Current PTCB or ExCPT certification (or state licensure) is required.
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred; we are willing to train driven candidates.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent mathematical skills for accurate dosage calculations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for patient counseling.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and electronic health records (EHR).
