Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections with precision and patient comfort
- Process and transport specimens to laboratory facilities while maintaining chain of custody
- Update patient records and documentation remotely using our HIPAA-compliant EMR system
- Verify patient identification and prepare specimens for testing
- Train new staff on phlebotomy techniques and safety protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare providers via telehealth platforms for patient follow-up
Qualifications
- Current Texas Phlebotomy Technician certification (PTCB or ASCP)
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- Proficiency in remote EMR systems and telehealth tools
- Valid CPR certification and TB screening
- Exceptional communication skills for remote patient interactions
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
